Abuburo nkosua, ade a ebeye yie nsee da (2024)

(Egg of the dove, something meant to be successful can never be destroyed)

A mirrored collage printed on a 72”x54” linen cotton canvas, featuring photos I took with my family this Thanksgiving, alongside behind-the-scenes images from a traditional Ghanaian family photoshoot we did a couple of years ago. The collage is framed with gold hairpieces. From the center top hairpiece hangs a necklace with three Adinkra symbols: Funtumfunafu Denkyemfunafu (representing unity in diversity), Gye Nyame (symbolizing the supremacy of God), and Pempamsie (signifying steadfastness).
